Lord of the Fries expands its plant-based offering with Tip Top Foodservice

“Everyone is jumping on the bandwagon, so to speak, with veganism. Which is great! The more options, the more mainstream it gets, the better it is for the planet and the better it is for everyone.”

These are the words of Lord of the Fries Co-Founder, Mark Koronczyk. Lord of the Fries has grown from a little food van in 2004 to a late-night cult classic in cities across Australia.

If you don’t know Lord of the Fries, you’ll probably be surprised to learn (even after tasting their burgers) that everything on the menu is completely vegan. But Lord of the Fries don’t rely on the vegan market for their popularity, the burgers and fries are just that good.

“Lord of the Fries just happened to be among the first vegan-only outlets in Australia, but we’re still the best,” said Mark. “We’re always looking for ways to improve, and that includes our burger buns.”

Tip Top Foodservice are excited to be working with Lord of the Fries across the country, providing burger buns, hot dog rolls and burger thins to their 22 venues (all completely vegan of course).

“Not only are the buns fantastic and the softest we’ve tried, which is perfect for our burgers and hot dogs, the other great advantage is that, as a national chain, we can have the same bun in the Perth store as we have in our Adelaide stores as we have in our Victorian stores,” explained Mark.

“When you’ve got a national chain, customers do want to get the same menu item at every location. They want it to be the same everywhere. That’s what Tip Top Foodservice allows us to do. They’ve been a great partner.”

Most recently Lord of the Fries have launched three limited time offers with Harvest Gourmet that include: Katsu Sando, Spicy Crunch Burger and Schnitzel BLT. Each offering is on a complementary Tip Top Foodservice bun and has proven very popular with customers.

“We got a really good response to the Katsu Sando but I think the spicy crunch burger with the damper bun is the real favourite. Burgers are universal, everyone loves them.”

On top of the limited time offers, Lord of the Fries have just started offering the option of the Tip Top Burger Thins for carb-conscious eater.

“People who are trying to eat fewer carbs, still want a burger and doing a lettuce bun has never been any good, let’s be honest. We’re so happy Tip Top came up with the Burger Thins - they’re clean, vegan, really tasty and you can really put quite a big burger in there without it falling apart which is important.”

Tip Top Foodservice are proud to work with partners like Lord of the Fries to ensure they’ve got the right products to keep customers happy and coming back for more.
