4 Tip Top® Gourmet Hamburger Buns
4 tablespoons mayo
4 iceberg lettuce leaves
1 fresh tomato, sliced
¼ white onion, sliced
600g beef mince, split into four
4 dill pickles, sliced lengthways
4 rashers bacon
4 tablespoons tomato sauce
Press beef mince into patties of 150 grams each, as round or as rustic as you prefer.
In a frypan heat oil then fry off the patties until cooked to your liking. Add bacon to pan and fry off until crispy. Remove both from pan and set aside but keep the juices in the pan.
Cut hamburger buns in half and toast the halves cut side down in the frying pan to absorb some of the bacon and burger fats (instead of butter)
To serve: Top toasted bases with mayonnaise, then layer iceberg, a fresh tomato slice, onion, the beef patty, dill pickle and bacon. On the top add tomato sauce and place on top of the burger to finish.
